Your news: Troop 495 visits Train Days

Six scouts and four leaders from Boy Scout Troop 495 out of Elk Grove Village who are chartered through the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 35, also of Elk Grove Village, visited Union Pacific's newest locomotive numbered and named the Centennial 2010 in honor of the Boy Scouts 100th birthday.

It was on display in Rochelle, Ill., during its Train Days, which was held the first weekend in June.

It was just phenomenal, as soon these boys walked up to the display, they were greeted very warmly. Posing for pictures and holding great conversation for a good 30-minutes before viewing the great locomotive. You would have thought the boy's were celebrities.
