Wisconsin man charged in Waukegan bank robbery
Officials have arrested and charged a Wisconsin man in the robbery of a TCF Bank last month.
Kevin A. Deal, 25, of the 2500 block of Roosevelt Road in Kenosha, walked into the TCF Bank in the 900 block of Green Bay Road at 5:22 p.m. on May 31, put on a ski mask, displayed a handgun and demanded money from a teller, according to a news release issued Monday by the Waukegan Police Department.
An undisclosed amount of money was handed over, police said, and Deal fled the scene.
On Friday, June 11, police arrested Deal in his Kenosha residence, where most of the money taken was still in his possession, police said.
The handgun was not recovered by police.
Deal has been charged with armed robbery and remains in Lake County jail in lieu of a $1.5 million bond, officials said.
