Follett offers textbook rentals

OAK BROOK - Follett reported Monday that more than 800 of the bookstores it serves in the United States and Canada will offer textbooks for rent for the first time this fall.

Follett said it's bringing rental to campuses through multiple offerings available to its network of Follett-managed bookstores and online virtual bookstores via Follett Rent-A-Text, as well as independent bookstores via the first and only online and in-store rental program designed specifically for independently managed college stores. Follett is the only company that offers a full spectrum of rental solutions to such a wide variety of educational institutions.

Follett has invested $120 million into its textbook rental programs.
