Enjoy summer concerts, movies on the Batavia Riverwalk

Mark your calendars for the 2010 River Rhapsody Concert Series presented by the Batavia Park District. Experience the sounds of summer at this free concert series on select Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the Batavia Riverwalk, Houston Street at Island Avenue. Free movies in the park will be offered after the June 23 and Aug. 11 concerts.

• Wednesday, June 16: Audio Fracture features classics from the Beatles, Elvis, The Doobie Brothers and Kiss, to current artists such as Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Gin Blossoms.

• Wednesday, June 23: Lazy Maybes will feature classic rock, modern rock, funk, country and a little bit of hip hop in their own unique way. There will be a "Movie in the Park" at 8:30 p.m. Bring the family out for a kid-friendly movie under the stars. Concessions will be sold at the Peg Bond Center throughout the evening.

• Wednesday, June 30: Geneva Jazz Ensemble is 20-member jazz band, with members from Kane and DuPage counties.

• Wednesday, Aug. 11: White Saddle Band features rock & roll, country, R&B and the blues. Hear hits from Elvis, Hank Williams, The Eagles, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Roy Orbison, Jimmy Buffett, John Mellencamp and more. There will be a "Movie in the Park" at 8:30 p.m. Bring the family out for a kid-friendly movie under the stars. Concessions will be sold at the Peg Bond Center throughout the evening.
