Batavia's Hall Quarry Beach to open for the summer
You don't have to drive to Lake Michigan to experience the beach! Batavia's Hall Quarry Beach will open for the season on Monday, June 14.
The Quarry will remain open through Sunday, Aug. 15. Operating hours will be noon to 6 p.m. Daily admission rates have not increased. The daily fee remains $7 for residents and $10 for nonresidents.
Families can also save money with the new 10-punch pass. This pass offers flexibility for individuals to visit the Quarry 10 times throughout the summer or share the visits with friends and family.
A resident 10-punch pass is $55, and a nonresident pass is $80; a 20-percent discount to enjoy at your leisure.
Quarry season passes are also on sale and are available at the Batavia Park District Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson St., or the Eastside Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren St. Rates are $43 for ages 4 to 12, $53 for ages 13-59 and $20 for ages 60 and older.
By popular demand, "Way Back When-days" are back! To celebrate the Batavia Park District's 41 years of serving the community, the Quarry will pay tribute to "way back when" with discounted admission every Wednesday the Quarry is open. Admission will be $2 for residents and $5 for nonresidents.
Quarry hours will be extended to noon to 7 p.m. on special family Fridays throughout the summer with a twilight special from 5 to 7 p.m. Admission during these hours will be just $3 for residents and $4 for nonresidents.
Hall Quarry Beach has once again opened the gates to picnics and other snack foods. Alcoholic beverages and glass containers of any kind are prohibited. Vending machines are also available. Entrance to the Quarry and parking will be through the south gate.
