Bartlett event benefits cancer survivor group

A fundraiser for Back in the Swing, a nonprofit breast cancer survivors support organization, is being held Sunday at the Bartlett Park District to honor Darlene Fraser, a 27-year local Jazzercise franchise owner who lost her battle to breast cancer in January.

Jazzercise is asking for a $20 donation to take a class from 9-10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 13, at 700 S. Bartlett Road.

Back in the Swing is a grass-roots organization dedicated to providing awareness, access, and financial support for breast cancer survivorship programs and academic medical research in the field of breast cancer survivorship.

The organization's goal is to empower breast cancer survivors to get back in the swing of life physically, emotionally and spiritually. For more information, call (630) 483-6903 or e-mail nixtrl@comcast.net.
