Bowling alley patrons loud, drunk, Wheeling resident says

James Fuller has had it with the bowling ally patrons that hang out near his Wheeling condominium.

"I want that liquor license pulled," Fuller said at Monday's Wheeling Village Board meeting. "I'm up at all hours of the day and night because people are drunk and disorderly and I've had enough. There's a lot of vandalism and drug dealing going on. We need your help weeding out the undesirables."

Fuller lives at Cameo Terrace, which is across the street from Pinheads Jeffrey Lanes at 127 N. Wolf Road in Wheeling. He said his condo association doesn't know what to do about the problem.

Fuller and Wheeling Police Chief Bill Benson talked about the issue before Fuller left village hall Monday.

There have not been a lot of police calls to the bowling alley, Benson said.

"I was surprised by his comments, but we still step up our monitoring in that area," Benson said.

The owner of Pinheads Jeffrey Lanes was unavailable to comment Wednesday.
