St. Patrick School groundbreaking ceremony Saturday

Bishop Thomas Doran of the Rockford Diocese will preside over the groundbreaking ceremony and blessing for St. Patrick Catholic Elementary School at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12. The ceremony will be at the site of the Crane Road Church and Office Building at 6N487 Crane Road in St. Charles.

This new school will replace the current St. Patrick Catholic School on Cedar Street in St. Charles, which has served the parish well for 80 years. The move will provide the school with more space, including three classrooms per grade level.

All St. Patrick school students from kindergarten to eighth grade will finally be under one roof. The Religious Education staff offices, as well as all Religious Education classes will be located in the new building. A new science lab, computer lab, library, music room and art room will also be included in this 85,000-square-foot school. For information, visit stpatsirish.org.
