Call out Alexi on Kirk attack ads

In the contest for U.S. Senate, Alexi Giannoulias has repeatedly misrepresented Mark Kirk's positions in order to distract voters from his own record.

Giannoulias says Kirk consistently voted against extending unemployment benefits. Yet in the last two years alone, Kirk voted five times to extend unemployment benefits. He also stood against Republican U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning's move earlier this year to try to halt unemployment benefits.

Another attack ad has Giannoulias claiming that Kirk has backed U.S. firms in their overseas investments. In fact, Kirk voted twice with mostly Democrats against the American Jobs Creation Act. Giannoulias' attacks have continuously tried to distract voters such as his loans to organized crime or reckless lending that cost the FDIC $394 million when Broadway Bank collapsed. People need to call him out on it.
