FBI releases photos from Waukegan bank heist
The FBI on Friday released photos from a Waukegan bank robbery and asked for the public's help in solving the crime.
The robber hit the TCF Bank, 927 N. Green Bay Road, about 5:20 p.m. Monday. Armed with a handgun, the thief approached the teller counter, announced a robbery and threatened to do harm if his demands weren't met, the FBI said.
After getting an undisclosed amount of money, he fled the bank and was seen getting into a newer Jeep Cherokee. No shots were fired and no one was hurt.
The robber was described as being in his late 20s or early 30s. He appeared to be about 6 feet tall, had a medium build and had dark hair. He was wearing a red ski mask, black sunglasses, a white T-shirt, and jeans.
