Sky scouting report
Chicago Sky (2-4) at Atlanta Dream (6-1)
When: 6 p.m. today
Where: Philips Arena
TV: CN100
Last time: On Saturday, the Sky defeated the Minnesota Lynx in Minneapolis 73-58; on Tuesday, the Dream lost on the road to the Seattle Storm 90-72.
The skinny: How's this for logic? The Dream is one of the best teams in the WNBA, but the Sky could be its next nightmare. After all, the Dream's only loss came to the Seattle Storm, which has just 1 loss - to the Sky. The Sky looks to keep the momentum rolling. After four straight losses to open the season, the last two games have resulted in wins: against Seattle and Minnesota. The common denominator in the Sky victories has been big games from 6-foot-6 center Sylvia Fowles (18 ppg) and major contributions from the bench. In each of the last two games, the Sky's reserves have outscored their counterparts. Forward Tamera Young has come up big on both occasions and is coming off a season-high 9-point game against Minnesota. The Dream is led by second-year forward Angel McCoughtry. She was the No. 1 pick in the 2009 draft and was last summer's WNBA rookie of the year. She is quick and shifty and averages 22.9 points per game, which ranks tops in the league. The Dream, which qualified for the playoffs last summer in just its second year of existence, also have three other players who average double figures.
