Bulls Watch: Thibodeau meeting over

Here's a glance at some of the latest developments as the Bulls search for a new coach and prepare to court top free agents:

Thibo meeting over: Gar Forman and John Paxson ended up meeting with Boston assistant Tom Thibodeau late Wednesday night and again Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles. The meetings were approved by Celtics coach Doc Rivers, even though they happened just hours before Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

The talks with Thibodeau went well, according to a league source, and he's almost certainly the leading candidate for the Bulls' coaching job. According to numerous reports, Thibodeau was given until Thursday to accept an offer to coach New Orleans, otherwise the Hornets would turn to Portland assistant Monty Williams. The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that the Hornets decided to give Thibodeau more time.
