Steve Dahl, WXRT's Hemmert up for broadcast hall of fame
As usual, there are plenty of Chicago figures up for induction into the Radio Hall of Fame at the Museum of Broadcast Communications, but a welcome new addition this year is WXRT 93.1-FM disc jockey Terri Hemmert, up for induction in the active local or regional category. Steve Dahl is up in the pioneer local or regional category, and WLS-AM's "National Barn Dance" is under consideration in the national pioneer category. Industry bigwigs will vote all summer leading up to the 2010 induction in the fall.

'Seven' up
"Seven" is a convoluted, ultraviolent action mystery, which of course means it's prime Waste Watcher material, especially as it stars Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. It runs at 8 p.m. today on Bravo, immediately repeated at 11.
