Members of .38 Special, Night Ranger, Survivor to play in Rosemont
Still Survivin'
Jim Peterik, former lead singer of The Ides of March and co-founder of Chicago rock band Survivor, will take the stage in Rosemont this weekend with members of fellow 1980s hits-makers Night Ranger and .38 Special. The show, titled "World Stage Up Close and Unplugged," will feature Peterik performing duets with Jack Blades of Night Ranger, Jeff Carlisi of .38 Special and other guests. Here's a chance to hear stripped-down versions of some of the biggest pop-rock hits of the 1970s and '80s.

Alternative showcase
A huge slate of alternative rock bands will fill two stages this weekend as part of the Q101 Jamboree 2010. The main stage will include Puddle of Mud, Saliva and Papa Roach. The Cubby Bear side stage will include OK Go and Crash Kings.

Rocking for a cause
Suburban synth-pop band Dot Dot Dot will be one of the bands performing at a special concert benefiting Imerman Angels, a Chicago group that pairs cancer sufferers with cancer survivors.
