Young Adult Grief Journey teaches to cope
Young Adult Grief Journey, a six-week program for young adults who have experienced the death of a family member or friend, is being offered by Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice.
The group meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays, June 14 through July 26, at the offices, 200 Whitfield Drive in Geneva. It is free, but registration is required by Monday, June 7. Spanish interpretation is available.
Young Adult Grief Journey was designed to help those in the 18 to 25 age group. Participants will learn about the process of grief and gain coping skills. Informal discussions, music and activities will help group members get in touch with their feelings. Group members may bring a friend who has also been affected by a death loss.
