Pottawatomie Garden Club inducts officers

The Pottawatomie Garden Club recently celebrated its 82nd season at a festive spring luncheon held April 26, in the Joseph Medill Room at Cantigny in Wheaton. Founded in 1928, the St. Charles club has enriched the city through its dedicated commitment to volunteerism of its members.

During the luncheon, the induction of the 2010 executive board were recognized. They are Judi Asselborn, president; Ruth Ann Seney, vice president; Ellen Smith, recording secretary; Cynthia Jelm, treasurer; Dana Jaros, immediate past-president. Committee chairmen inducted were Jane Norris and Lanny Salvati, civic; Susie Anderson and Kelly Potts, community outreach; Joan Mennie, Chris Mills and Lisa Wienecke, hostesses; Pat Driessen and Judy Price, landscape commendations; Pat Sowa and Marce Van Glabeck, membership; Kay Elliott, memorials; Shirleyn Grzesik, name tags; Karen Masus, newsletter; Julie Griffith and Randalynn Kaye, programs; Jeanne Marozzi and Cynthia Foster, publicity; Adele Bombenek and Ruth Pienkowski, scholarship; Denise Schardischau, twilight garden walks; Carolyn Covalsky and Pattie Hodge, flower sale; and Karen Boyce and Judy Porter, garden walk.
