Fury soccer team wins Oak Brook tournament

Over Mother's Day weekend, the Tri-Cities Soccer Association Fury soccer team gave their mom's a gift that is hard to come by - getting to watch their daughters win a hard fought soccer tournament in Oak Brook.

The Fury kicked the tournament off on May 8 and won their first game over the Wilmette Wings White by a score of 3-1. The Fury had a quick turnaround with another game on Saturday afternoon, this time getting the better of a pesky Downers Grove Roadrunners team, winning by a score of 2-1. This took the Fury into their last game of group play, taking on the Legends Premier team. In a hard fought game, the Fury got the job done, tying the game 0-0 to advance to the championship game against another U11 TCSA team, the Thunder. In the final, the Fury came out firing and ended up taking home the championship by a score of 4-0.
