Barrington Lions pleased with recent screening
On behalf of the Barrington Lions Club I would like to publicly thank everyone who made our Hearing Screening such a success on May 15th -- starting with Anne Garrette at Village Hall who helped secure the parking lot site at the intersection of Hough and Main streets, and created four large signs which we used on the sidewalk sandwich boards.
We had high visibility thanks to the Public Works crew who secured the space; and Police Chief Jerry Libit acted as liaison to our club. All deserve credit for getting the job done.
We were able to screen 40 community members in our Lions Mobile Hearing Bus which travels the state and is only available at certain times. Technician and Lion Joe Krenkel did a great job going over the results with each individual and said he was very impressed with the turnout in Barrington.
Hopefully this will lead to an annual visit in our town.
This screening is just one example of the ways Lions fulfill our motto, "We Serve" in our community. Good job, everyone!
