Betty Haag Academy to perform in Chicago

The Betty Haag Academy of Music in Buffalo Grove will perform its 35th Annual Concert at Symphony Center in Orchestra Hall at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, May 30, at 220 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago.

The show features more than 300 young violinists, five piano soloists and world-renowned violinist Ilya Kaler as a guest performer.

The concert features the schools Magical Strings of Youth, which has toured extensively over the years in Europe and the United States. Locally, it has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra,

the Grant Park Symphony and on WTTW's Chicago Tonight. Tickets are $25; call (847) 382-7925 or pay at the door. More information is at bettyhaag.com.
