ICC to examine power demand
The Illinois Commerce Commission's Electric Policy Committee will meet Tuesday, June 1, to discuss electricity demand forecasts and utility efforts to meet the energy needs of Illinois customers this summer.
ICC Acting Chairman Manuel Flores will welcome the speakers and open the meeting with a presentation by Illinois Power Agency Director Mark Pruitt on the IPA's recent procurement of electricity for customers of ComEd and Ameren utilities.
ComEd Chief Operating Officer Anne Pramaggiore will address electricity demand, along with the company's Bill McNeil, vice president of energy acquisition, and others. The meeting is at 2:30 p.m., 8th floor, 160 N. LaSalle St., Chicago.
