The Janus Theatre presents its first Elgin Short Play Festival, featuring the short plays of award-winning playwright Theresa Rebeck. The festival will open on Friday, May 28, at the Elgin Art Showcase on the eighth floor of the Professional Building, 164 Division St., and runs through Sunday, May 30. The service begins at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 31, at the Gardens on Route 31, just north of Alexander's Restaurant in West Dundee. The placement of flags on the 944 veterans' graves will take place on Friday, May 28.
