Drew Carey to share ideas with Cleveland council

CLEVELAND -- Comedian Drew Carey has some serious business in his hometown of Cleveland, where he plans to tell officials his ideas for revitalizing the ailing city.

The host of "The Price is Right" will meet with city council members Thursday morning in an open forum that's expected to cover topics including education, business development and the city's ongoing population decline.

Last month, Carey argued for less government, more competition, less taxes and changes to schools in a series of 10-minute online videos about Cleveland.

City Council President Martin Sweeney says Drew Carey cares about Cleveland and council members welcome the chance to hear from him, though Sweeney says they may not agree with all of his ideas.
