Cruz-Hernandez, 24, of the 500 block of Deere Park Circle, Bartlett, was arrested and charged with felony driving under the influence, no valid driver's license, and illegal transportation of alcohol at 1:27 a.m. Monday in the 0-99 block of Slade Avenue, reports said. An officer on patrol found Cruz-Hernandez parked in his vehicle near Fox River boat launch along with five empty beer cans and two empty bottles on the floor, reports said.bull; Asia K. Toles, 22, of the 0-99 block of North Aldine Avenue, Elgin, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 1001 N. Randall Road, reports said. Toles tried to steal razors, shoes and a girl's dress, a total value of about $39, and is due in court on June 11, reports said.Carpentersvillebull; Jose Ortiz-Tlapa, 24, of the 7300 block of Thornwood Street, Hanover Park, was charged with felony retail theft Sunday, reports said. Police say he stole two pairs of shoes and clothing priced at more than $150 from the Kohl's store in the Carpentersville portion of Spring Hill Mall. His bond was set Monday morning at $5,000 and he is due in court June 4 at the Kane County Judicial Center.Crystal Lakebull; Ellie N. Alexander, 34, of the 0-99 block of South Caroline was charged with multiple felonies for selling heroin out of her Crystal Lake residence, according to authorities. Undercover agents from the North Central Narcotics Task Force bought heroin from Alexander on multiple occasions, according to the task force. On May 20, after giving an undercover agent 11.5 grams of heroin, Alexander was arrested at her home, a news release said. Police seized about $5,000 in heroin in Alexander's home. If convicted, Alexander faces up to six years in prison.bull; Juan D. Breceda, 50, of the 500 block of Darlington Lane, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a felony that carries a typical sentence of one to three years in prison or up to 21/2 years probation, authorities said. Breceda was charged after police found him on Saturday with less than 15 grams of cocaine, court records show. Breceda was released Monday after posting $1,000. His next court date is June 1.South Elginbull; David Griffin, 22, of the 300 block of Griswold Street, Elgin, was arrested on warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of battery, a traffic offense and resisting a peace officer after police were called to a party to investigate possible underage drinking at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of East Middle Street, reports said.Kane Countybull; Rhonda R. Leamy, 42, of the 100 block of Lake Shore Drive, Carpentersville, was arrested at 8:02 p.m. May 19 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after chasing a man at her residence with a hammer, and damaging several pieces of property during a domestic disturbance, police said. bull; Gregory T. Tourtellott, 23, of the 100 block of Steamboat Drive, Gilberts, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. Thursday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at the Paul Wolf Forest Preserve, 38W235 Big Timber Road, near Elgin, according to an arrest report. Police said Tourtellot possessed a glass drug pipe and had offered marijuana to several witnesses who were also in the preserve. bull; A 2001 Dodge Durango's front and rear driver's side windows were reported smashed Thursday on the 36W100 block of Erie Street, near Elgin. bull; Kyle J. Mrozik, 25, of the 400 block of Edinburgh Lane, West Dundee, was arrested at 3:29 a.m. Saturday and charged with disobeying a police officer, driving under the influence, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report. Police said Mrozik drove around a police squad car being used to block traffic at an accident scene at Route 31 and Miller Road, near West Dundee, according to a report, and was pulled over immediately. Police said they found a glass pipe and 5.5 grams of marijuana in his Pontiac Grand Am.
