Support Stone recall in Buffalo Grove

First, let me apologize to all residents of Buffalo Grove. I voted for Lisa Stone. I was duped by her "disingenuous" concern for her community, the endorsement by this newspaper, and her background which is similar to mine - a local school district activist. People warned me, I didn't listen.

Instead of a fresh new voice, an independent thinker who could collaborate and contribute new ideas, I somehow helped elect an arrogant, egotistic, self-appointed grandstander, who thumbs her nose at rules and procedures (Lisa, Castro would have cut off your mike a long time ago) - who is nothing more than a complete and total embarrassment.

Since she was elected, her self-centered behavior, endlessly lecturing and berating other trustees and village staffers has never let up. Never one to stay on topic, Stone also votes erratically (let me get this straight - NONE of the board minutes are ever right?)

She has shown herself repeatedly to be uninformed, anti-business, anti consumer, picking ridiculous causes (Hey! I know - Let's regulate homeowners who spray their lawns!) while our village goes down the drain. It has already cost us the loss of an experienced manager, and has worn the patience of hundreds, if not thousands of fed-up residents who are tired of her reckless behavior that only makes a laughingstock of our village.

While trustees and staff politely defer to her, Lisa Stone rejects the process, finding it her self-appointed right and duty to tie up each and every village meeting droning endlessly, and educating herself on whatever topic she pleases at the expense of everyone else.

If she really wants to represent the people of Buffalo Grove, she will resign. If not, help us correct this wrong - support the Recall Lisa Stone movement and let's remove this bully from its pulpit.
