Obama is dividing our United States

With controversy 24/7, Barack Obama's presidency is dividing this nation as none before. It seems like years, but it's only been 18 months since James D. Cook said: "Tuesday night, America arrived at the epiphany of its democracy ... Barack Obama is ... a symbol to rescue America from its destructive divisiveness and lift it from the depths of political, social and economic despair. With our nonpartisan support, he can elevate all of us with new pride and patriotism."

In a response to Mr. Cook on Nov. 29, 2008 I said: "So why from the get-go and after years of verbal bomb throwing from the left, does Cook's choice for president deserve the spirit of nonpartisanship, when we have only lofty and unrealistic campaign rhetoric to judge the socialist ideologue, Obama? Don't look for it to appear on the right unless it's well earned.

In comparison to Democrats, we will have been gracious".

But predictably, Mr. Cook and millions of other like-minded people have witnessed hope morph into false hope, "change you can believe in" not believable and "yes we can" vehemently opposed with no you won't.

Now, Obama supporters have little to defend Obama with except to plunge back into the leftist playbook as Mr. Cook did last week when he sarcastically said: "With the rise of homegrown terrorism with threats of violence and government upheaval... why don't we withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan and post our military here in the United States? No foreign-based terrorism can match what's going on here."

And if you're not having fun yet, wait until November.
