Sky scouting report
Indiana Fever (0-2) vs. Chicago Sky (0-2) at Allstate Arena, 7 p.m. Saturday
TV: Comcast CN100
Last time: On Sunday, the Fever lost at Atlanta (66-62) and the Sky lost at New York (85-82).
Skinny: The defending Eastern Conference champion Fever will help the Sky break in its new home, Allstate Arena. Both teams enter the game limping a bit, having lost their first two games on the road. - Besides their records, the Sky and the Fever don't have much in common. While the Sky made some major changes to it roster over the off-season, the Fever stayed almost completely intact with the hope that it could make another run to the WNBA Finals. - Former Stevenson High School star Tamika Catchings and Katie Douglas give the Fever one of the most potent perimeter attacks in the WNBA. Catchings also is one of the best defenders around. Catchings, Douglas and two other Fever starters are playing catch-up, though. They missed the entire preseason due to extended playoff runs with their off-season teams in Turkey. - The Sky features two new starters in forwards Shemeka Christon and Cathrine Kraayeveld, who were acquired from New York in a three-team, off-season trade that sent former Sky star Candice Dupree to Phoenix. - Christon and Kraayeveld should provide a big enough outside presence to free up 6-foot-6 Sky center Sylvia Fowles in the paint.
