Palatine Oktoberfest to run later Sunday night

Palatine's third annual Oktoberfest celebration is set to take place Sept. 17-19 in the Fireman's Memorial Lot on Slade Street between Brockway and Bothwell streets.

On Monday, the village council approved the Palatine Rotary Club's request to extend the event's Sunday hours until 6 p.m. in order to mirror Street Fest's hours. The German festival will feature food, beverages, live entertainment and other activities.
