Bulls watch: LeBron chase begins

Here's a glance at some of the latest developments as the Bulls search for a new coach and prepare to court top free agents:

LeBron chase begins: With LeBron James' early playoff exit, it's possible the Bulls' coaching search will slow way down. John Calipari tweeted plans to return to Kentucky next season. But the hire that would truly impress LeBron isn't Calipari, it's Phil Jackson. Maybe the Bulls will wait until the Lakers are done before making a decision, because Jackson's contract is up. Together, Phil and LeBron might be the perfect match for the Bulls.

Woodson gets ax: Even though his record improved during all five seasons on the job, Atlanta coach Mike Woodson officially lost his job on Friday. He is not expected to be among the Bulls' candidates, but maybe they'll bring him in just to ask about shaving his eyebrows during the season.

Workouts begin: The Bulls aren't wasting any time getting to the heart of predraft workouts. On Sunday, they'll have a couple of solid shooting guard candidates at the Berto Center in Kansas freshman Xavier Henry and Oklahoma State junior James Anderson. Also on the schedule is Georgia Tech forward Gani Lawal and a few others. After swapping first-round spots with Milwaukee, the Bulls have the No. 17 pick.
