Attacks up since Obama took over

While I and other people may not agree on all the policies enacted by former President George Bush, there can be no doubt that after Sept. 11 we remained free from acts of terrorism on American soil during the remainder of his presidential terms.

In less than two years since Barack Obama has been elected, we have had three acts of terrorism in America.

Major Nidal Malik Hasan slaughtered 13 of his fellow servicemen and injured 30 others. We were asked not to jump to judgment while the administration investigated the incident.

On Christmas Day, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted to detonate a homemade bomb on Northwest flight 253.

Recently, Faisal Shahzad tried but did not fully succeed in detonating a homemade car bomb. Shahzad was described as a disturbed individual and the attempt was amateurish.

The press, in a laughable attempt to further demonize former President George Bush, said Shahzad was angry over the Mideast polices of George Bush.

Not only can this administration not connect the dots, they cannot seem to find the dots. The failure of President Obama and his administration to properly characterize the danger that terrorists represent to our nation continues to put us at an ever-increasing risk of a cataclysmic attack on our nation and its citizens.

Are we safer now, since the 2008 elections? I think not.
