CL Central edges Grayslake Central
Grayslake Central's baseball team surrendered 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and fell to host Crystal Lake Central Tigers 7-6 in Fox Valley Conference action Thursday.
Grayslake Central (20-7, 14-5) trailed 4-0 early but took a 6-4 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh.
Offensively for the Rams, Andrew Hosford and Mike Gentile doubled, while Joe Schaiper had a pair of singles.
"I'm really proud of the way the kids battled back, but we just couldn't put them away," Rams coach Troy Whalen said. "They fought hard and so did we. It was a fun game to be a part of with some good plays on both sides."
Grayslake Central hosts Crystal Lake Central today.
