Lisle rolls over Plano

While most area ballclubs took a well-deserved rain date, Lisle punished Plano in Interstate Eight Conference play, 13-2, in Lisle.

Freshman pitcher Ryan Van Volkenburg (3-0) won the 5-inning contest and added a double as Lisle (20-9, 10-4) quickly overcame Plano's 2 runs in the top of the first inning. Lions hitters Jon Kolosky, Ian Scarlato and Nick Thome each had 2 hits, with Scarlato and Thome each driving in 3 runs and Kolosky a pair.
