Stout fires no-hitter for St. Francis

Eric Stout (5-2) threw a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and 2 walks for the St. Francis Spartans (16-13, 7-8) in their 7-0 Suburban Christian Conference win over Aurora Central.

At the plate Stout went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI.

Benet 6, Joliet Catholic 2: Nick Moore went 3-for-3 and Pat McInerney had a 2-run single as the Redwings (11-14, 6-7) pulled out the East Suburban Catholic Conference win. Mike Chiaro (4-2) pitched a complete-game 5-hitter, allowing 1 earned run.

Naperville Central 12, West Chicago 2: Marc Mantucca doubled, homered and drove in 4 runs for the Redhawks (24-4, 15-1 DuPage Valley Conference). Bobby Czarnowski and Shane Conlon each had 2 hits. Ian Lewandowski (3-1) was the complete-game winning pitcher. Al Robbins went 2-for-4 with a double, home run and 2 RBI for West Chicago (11-15, 4-12).

WW South 7, Glenbard North 6: The Tigers (14-14, 7-9 DuPage Valley Conference) withstood a 5-run rally by Glenbard North (18-10, 10-6) in the bottom of the sixth inning. R.J. Hoshell had a 2-run single, Kyle Snow went 2-for-3 and Jason Schuman won on the mound for WW South. Brandon Clark doubled and went 2-for-4 for Glenbard North.

Lisle 9, Plano 2: Jon Kolosky improved to 7-2 after a 6-inning effort with 7 strikeouts for the Lions (19-9, 9-4) in their Interstate Eight Conference win. Will DeCraene, who stole four bases and scored 3 runs, and Ryan Van Volkenburg, who drove in 3 runs, each had 2 hits.

Immaculate Conception 2, Marmion 1: After the Cadets scored in the top of the first, Immaculate Conception (24-9, 13-3 Suburban Christian Conference) went ahead to stay on a 2-run home run by Carlos Rodriguez in the bottom of the first. Jose Godinez (4-3) was the winning pitcher and Matt McMahon earned his third save.

Wheaton Academy 6, Montini 3: Tate Fritz, who had 2 RBI, and Alec McNally each went 3-for-4 as the Warriors (18-11, 9-6) won in the Suburban Christian Conference. Ryan Kramer was the winning pitcher and Trevor Swaney homered. Jack Bowe went 2-for-4 for Montini (13-14, 8-7).

West Aurora 6, Glenbard East 5: Jon Morris went 3-for-3 with 2 doubles and Cody Thompson went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Rams (3-21, 2-14) in their DuPage Valley Conference loss.
