NBA confirms McCamey, Davis leave draft
Twenty nine players listed below from U.S. colleges and institutions have notified us that they wish to be removed from the list of "early entry" players eligible for selection in the 2010 NBA Draft.
University of Illinois juniors Demetri McCamey and Mike Davis withdrew their names Saturday, the school had confirmed.
Point guard McCamey says he thinks the team can do "big things" next year, and he wants to help compete for championships. He says he also wants to keep getting better to secure a first-round spot in next year's draft. Davis, a power forward, says getting feedback from the NBA was helpful, and the experience has also left him motivated.
In addition, E'Twaun Moore of Purdue and Talor Battle of Penn State pulled themselves from the draft.
