McCamey, Davis withdraw from NBA draft
Illinois juniors Demetri McCamey and Mike Davis have withdrawn their names from the NBA draft.
The university announced on its Web site Saturday that both players will return to campus to complete their senior season with the Illini.
Point guard McCamey says he thinks the team can do "big things" next year, and he wants to help compete for championships. He says he also wants to keep getting better to secure a first-round spot in next year's draft.
Davis, a power forward, says getting feedback from the NBA was helpful, and the experience has also left him motivated.
Head coach Bruce Weber says he's proud of the way his players went through the draft process. He says they both made "mature, informed decisions."
