Get more facts before criticizing hiring
The Daily Herald editorial staff needs to check with the Daily Herald human resources staff on what questions a former employer will answer about an employee.
In most cases only basic questions are answered (dates of employment, job titles, and wage rates). There are more questions a potential employer has than answers a former employer will provide. Former employers who share the information you are requesting could be sued for defamation or similar claims such as invasion of privacy.
A person who is placed on administrative leave is not guilty of anything. The last I checked, we are all innocent until proven guilty in the United States.
The word inept for District 46 hiring policy is harsh. Get your facts straight before you share your view.
