Cost of gas only starts at pump
You know that really cute commercial that shows all the types of energy available to us - wind, solar, natural gas, coal and oil - and then it goes on to say that oil is the most efficient and least costly?
It closes with the cute little yellow and green bordered daisy type flower, that sort of looks like the BP logo. It finally shows you very quickly: brought to you by the API. (American Petroleum Institute) Read BP oil.
The API would have us believe that the Exxon Valdez cannot happen again because we know how to drill in new ways that really take care of our planet; and wind and solar are OK; but for real energy, we need good, and carefully drilled, and recovered oil.
The new flavoring being added to most of our Gulf Coast shrimp, clams and mussels is being applied by the good folks of BP Oil and the API - the folks that know how to take good care of our environment.
Please say an amen for the people who were injured and for those employees who paid with their lives, the down payment for this ecological disaster ongoing in the Gulf of Mexico.
The cost of energy is not always shown at the pump.
