Lake Zurich 14, Jacobs 1: Ben Gullo surrendered just 1 run over 5 innings, striking out six and walking none, as the Beats won the nonconference game in 5 innings.
Justin Russell led Lake Zurich (15-13) at the plate, going 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI. Hunter Hughes, Kyle Sanders (double, 2 RBI) and Jordan Johnson (2 doubles, 3 RBI) each had a pair of hits. Tim Bavester also had a double.
Grayslake Central 12, Woodstock North 0: Mitch Tielke hurled 5 innings of 1-hit ball to go along with 5 strikeouts in helping the Rams improve to 18-6 and 12-4 in the Fox Valley Conference.

Grayslake North 7, Woodstock 6: The Knights won for the second day in a row, as they were paced offensively by Andy Tatera (3-for-4), Joe Walsh (2-for-2) and Brandon Fern (3-for-4). Ed Tatera pitched 6 1/3 innings, striking out eight and allowing 2 earned runs, but Colin Laughlin picked up the win.
Grayslake North improved to 7-20 and 6-10 in the FVC.
