Naperville receives energy honor

Naperville's Renewable Energy Program ranks fifth on the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory annual Top 10 list.

Naperville partners with Community Energy, Inc., to offer a blend of Illinois wind and solar-generated electricity.

More than 4,700 of roughly 57,000 utility customers have chosen the option since it was introduced five years ago.

Naperville customers save more than 23.3 million pounds of carbon dioxide pollution per year as a result of their participation in the Renewable Energy Program.
