Bulls watch: Day 2
Here's a glance at some of the latest developments as the Bulls search for a new coach and prepare to court top free agents:
Phil sees good job: Before the Lakers played Utah on Tuesday, coach Phil Jackson was asked if he's interested in returning to the Bulls. "No, I'm not," he replied. "I think it's a wonderful job for whoever takes it." Jackson's contract, worth $12 million this year, expires after the season.
Two sides of coach Cal: While yahoo.com reported John Calipari is interested in the Bulls' opening, other news outlets insisted he's not. Then the Kentucky A.D. announced the school is working on a new contract for Derrick Rose's college coach. Sounds about right.
Familiar defender: In other news, ex-Bulls guard Thabo Sefolosha made the NBA's all-defensive second team. The Bulls traded Sefolosha to Oklahoma City last year for the draft pick that turned into Taj Gibson, who was all-rookie first team. So maybe they came out ahead.
