Soldier Field soccer match with Mexico tops 50,000
More than 50,000 tickets have been sold for Monday's international soccer match between the World Cup-bound national soccer team of Mexico and Senegal.
The 8 p.m. contest at Soldier Field is one of seveal stops of the El Tri tour that will end in Houston on May 13 against Angola.
Due to demand for tickets, the Soldier Field Box Office (Gate O) will have extended hours through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tickets for the game are also available by visiting Ticketmaster.com or calling-1-800-745-3000 or at all Ticketmaster locations.
The stadium is urging fans to arrive early to avoid heavy traffic and long lines at the box office. Futbol Fiesta, the 120,000 square feet interactive fan zone will open at 4 p.m. on game day and will feature live entertainment, games, autograph sessions by legendary Mexican players, sponsor booths and giveaways.
