Utilities should tell us of disruptions
After 5 weeks of enduring spotty DSL service in our neighborhood, presumably because of the phone company's seemingly endless wiring project going on at Ela and Florence, today our landline is down and customer service estimates it will take until Sunday to fix.
A "major outage" is to blame. Huh, it hasn't been storming, wonder what the trouble is?
Listen, guys, people work out of their homes, run businesses, and take important calls on landlines. You are inconveniencing much more than daily gossip calls from "housewives."
How about giving residents a heads-up on projects that are likely to disrupt the services we're paying through the nose for?
