Stupak proves votes are for sale in D.C.

Let April 9, 2010 be noted as the day Rep. Bart Stupak, a Michigan Democrat, closed the deal by resigning. After long battling the administration on the health care bill, including abortion, he sheepishly voted for the bill to pass with no safeguards other than the president's word that money wouldn't be used for abortions.

In voting for it. along with a few of his associates, he was the deciding factor in changing the course of health care as we know it in America.

He knew full well what he was doing to his own constituents and that his re-election was in peril.

So when in doubt follow the money. Now look for him to be given a cushy job in the Obama administration.

Votes are for sale in Washington and Bart Stupak didn't walk the plank here for nothing.
