Sourcebooks acquires publisher

NAPERVILLE - Sourcebooks of Naperville announced that it acquired certain assets of Minneapolis-based Marianne Richmond Studios Inc., publisher of gift books, including I Love You So- and Hurrah for You.

Marianne Richmond Studios, Inc., founded in 1991 by Marianne Richmond, started as a greeting card company with just 20 designs and has become a recognized creator of numerous books that celebrate milestones in life, memorable journeys, and relationships.

Writer and artist Marianne Richmond produced her first book in 1997, Gift of an Angel.

The acquisition includes 64 backlist titles, which in total have sold about 2 million copies.
