With jobs we could pay for health care

How can they expect this health care overhaul bill to work in real life? This is a bureaucratic nightmare the likes of which we have not seen. It took lawmakers a year to shape. It will take a decade to decipher.

Look at Medicare: Doctors already today don't want to take Medicare/Medicaid patients because of the government not paying them.

Schools are closing because the government has no money for teachers, programs, maintenance. All sorts of vendors refuse to deal with the government, because bills do not get paid. Mayor Daley is privatizing everything he can because of the government's incompetence.

They expect us to believe this quagmire of rules and regulations and red tape will give us a better health care system?

What it will do is create a black market of health care.

In Europe, if you want good care you don't use the system, you go to the doctor as a private patient and you pay him out of pocket, at least those that can afford it do. The rest get the kind of care a government institution provides - look at our veterans and the care that they, who should get the best, receive.

What we need President Obama to really focus on is how to get back outsourced jobs, how to switch from a service economy to an industrial one. We need to criminalize the financiers, the CEOs, the politicians who treated themselves to unfathomable fortunes plundering the resources of this country and its citizens.

If we could work again like we used to, we could provide for our own health care, we could take care of our families, we could buy our homes again. We would not need handouts from government.

We must recapture our country again or we, our children and grandchildren will literally be doomed
