Why oppose health care reform?

At long last, the United States has joined other industrialized countries and will offer health care to all citizens of this country.

Despite the lies and misinformation spewed by the extreme right, common sense and compassion prevailed. We seem to have no problem spending money on bombs, banks and bailouts.

Why did it take so long to offer hardworking citizens and the recently unemployed an affordable health care option? And why on earth would anyone object?
