Man sought in Arlington Heights bank robbery; suspect in 4 others

A man the FBI believe has robbed at least four other suburban banks this month struck again Wednesday in Arlington Heights.

The man robbed the Village Bank and Trust on the 300 block of South Arlington Heights Road shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, after handing a note to a teller demanding money.

He is described as a white male with brown hair in his early 20s, about 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighing around 185 pounds with a medium build.

He is further described on a wanted poster as sweaty, nervous, dirty, possibly intoxicated with sores or scars on his face and paper stuffed in his pockets.

He is also suspected of robbing a TCF Bank in Schaumburg April 4, a Harris Bank in Hoffman Estates on April 12, a Harris Bank in Wheeling on April 16, and a Harris Bank in Elk Grove Village on April 21.

Anyone who witnessed the robbery is asked to contact the Arlington Heights Police at (847) 368-5300 or the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
