Granger Web safety classGranger Middle School will host "Cyber Safety: Understanding and Preventing Online Youth Aggression" at 6:30 tonight at Granger Middle School, 2721 Stonebridge Blvd., Aurora. Speakers from the Illinois Center for Violence Prevention and the Illinois attorney general's office will discuss the dangers of cyberbullying, cyberstalking, Illinois laws, sexting and impersonation.Aurora library fundraiserThe Aurora Public Library Foundation will host its annual fundraiser, Imagine ... the possibilities Reception and Auction Friday at the library's West Branch, 233 South Constitution Drive. The event will include a live and silent auction. Proceeds will benefit programs for children, teens, the unemployed and homebound patrons. Tickets are $65. Raffle items include a 52-inch flat screen television and an iMac computer. Taxpayers can go to kanecountytreasurer.org to view current tax information and print out duplicate bills. Also available on the Web site is a list of all unclaimed funds held by the treasurer's office. People can make payment by mailing the payment to the treasurer's office in the envelope provided, at a designated bank in Kane County, or in person from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the Treasurer David Rickert's office, 719 Batavia Ave., Geneva. There is also a payment drop box available 24 hours a day located behind Building A at the Government Center on Batavia Avenue. People can also pay by credit card or E-check over the Internet, but there is a convenience fee for each service. For more information, call Rickert's office at (630) 232-3565.Used cell phones needed The Central Kane County TRIAD is seeking donations of used cell phones for seniors. Donated phones should be in general working order and have chargers included. They will be made available for seniors to use to call 911 in the event of an emergency. Donations are being accepted in the lobbies of the St. Charles Police Department, 2 State Ave., and the Geneva Township Senior Center, 400 Wheeler Drive. Call (630) 232-3602.
