WACO to host Kentucky Derby Fest

The Woodfield Area Children's Organization is holding an inaugural Kentucky Derby Fest Fundraiser from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Bannerman's Sports Grill, 858 S. Route 59, Bartlett.

Derby Fest will feature a Best Hat contest, games, raffles, silent auction, business expo, door prizes and many other surprises.

"Off the Record/Band on the Run" will provide the entertainment and there will be free appetizers to enjoy. Tickets are $30 in advance and include two adult beverages. For those under 21, tickets are $10 in advance and include one unlimited-refill soft drink. There will be an additional $5 fee for tickets purchased at the door.

Of funds, 97 percent are used to help disadvantaged children in the Northwest suburbs.
