Evolution is no theory, it's fact

This is in response to Dave and Connie Tregay's laughably ignorant April 20 Fence Post (Apes-humans link not in God's plan). After reading the Tregays' work, I'm not sure if I should laugh or be saddened that in 2010, people still continue to use phrases like "God's Plan" in relation to evolution.

If the Tregays, and others who share their archaic views, would take the time to read something other than their Bible (a severely inaccurate source when it comes to scientific facts), they would find that in some sense, they are correct. Evolution is not in God's plan. Because there is no God's plan.

Ask any secular scientist in the world, any at all, and they will tell you without a trace of doubt that evolution is no theory, it is fact. The facts of evolution are so overwhelming that the Tregays own religion came up with a new phrase to attempt to hold on to its precious "creationism" idea: Intelligent Design.

Ah, yes, Intelligent Design. The Tregays' oh, so mighty God is so intelligent and all knowing that he gave humans only one pipe to transport both vital oxygen and food to their organs, among many other follies we see on an everyday basis in nature.

This is not a matter of respecting one's own beliefs. This is the continuing trend of some in society refusing to get outside their own self-induced protective bubbles and get the facts.

Instead, the Tregays and others choose to squander the brilliance and power of the individual human mind by hiding behind a wall of masses collectively holding onto outdated ideas. Any time the Tregays work up the courage to expose themselves to real science, I would love to discuss it with them. I'll even let them borrow the books.
