Kane Countybull; Bruce A Johnson, 31, of the 700 block of North Prairie Street, Batavia, was arrested at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday and charged with defrauding a drug-alcohol screen, a Class 4 felony, at the Kane County probation office, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles, according to a police report. Police said Johnson brought a pill bottle containing another person's urine, which he submitted as his own. Johnson, who is on probation for a possession of a controlled substance conviction, told police he "was around marijuana" at a party recently and assumed he would fail the drug test if he supplied his own urine. His next court date is May 6. bull; A 3-inch trash pump of unspecified value was reported stolen Wednesday from a trailer at Dave Heine Excavating on the 00N200 block of Schneider Road, near Elburn, police said. bull; A Garmin GPS valued at $200, a hands-free cell phone device and about $150 worth of CDs were reported stolen Thursday from a vehicle on the 39W500 block of Long Meadow Lane, near St. Charles. A driver's side window on the vehicle also was smashed with a concrete rock, according to a police report. bull; A second-floor window on the east side of the Kaneville Community Center, 2S101 Harter Road, was reported smashed Monday. Police said a yellow practice basketball was found inside the building near the broken window, which was valued at $500. bull; Someone broke into a truck on the 1700 block of Reed Road, near Geneva, according to a police report filed April 17. Police said it appeared to be a failed attempt to steal the vehicle.North Aurorabull; Patrila L. Brannon, 28, of the 400 block of Blackhawk, Aurora, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon (brass knuckles) at 11:45 p.m. April 2, according to a police report. The incident happened at Oak Street and Sycamore Lane.bull; Tacara Alise Shaw, 25, of the 1100 block of Lorlyn Circle, Batavia, was arrested April 2 at Lincolnway and State streets and charged with driving under the combined influence of alcohol and drug, possession of cannabis (more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams), speeding, and failing to carry her driver's license on her person, according to a police report.bull; Todd El Neylon, 37, of the 1000 block of Lorlyn Circle, Batavia, was arrested April 3 in the 400 block of Offutt Lane. He was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving while his license was suspended or revoked, aggravated battery against a peace officer, improper lane use, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and obstruction of justice, according to a police report.bull; Alejandra Zavala, 19, of the 400 block of South Batavia Avenue, Batavia, was arrested April 4 at Lincolnway and Elm streets. He is accused of stealing four bottles of liquor, total value $151.96, at 1:32 p.m. from Dominick's, 2000 S. Randall Road.bull; A wallet containing $38 and a woman's wedding band were stolen out of a woman's purse at 3:50 p.m. Monday in the Geneva Public Library, 127 James St., police said. The woman was using a public computer when she received a cell phone call. She asked a woman seated next to her to watch her purse while she went outside to answer the call. Library workers found the missing wallet in the media return box later, minus the money. The ring was yellow gold, with a cubic zirconia center stone flanked by two diamonds.bull; Tyler J. Hummel, 17, faces a felony charge of retail theft and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia (a glass pipe), after his arrest at 2:45 p.m. Sunday at Dominick's, 2000 S. Randall Road, according to a police report. He is accused of loading a shopping cart with four cases of beer and several bottles of liquor.
